# Version 2.5

Managed Package version 2.5 also includes updates from v2.4, v2.3, v2.2 and v1.7.

## <mark style="color:$tint;">**Valorx Fusion – V2.5 Winter Release**</mark>

Managed Package v2.5 adds support for signing in to Fusion through your default browser, so users can sign in to Salesforce with the passwords and passkeys they’ve already saved in their browser.

Click <a href="https://appexchange.salesforce.com/listingDetail?listingId=a0N3A00000G0y2PUAR&#x26;tab=e" class="button primary">Valorx Managed Package</a>to install the latest package from **AppExchange**.

### Support for Signing In With Your Browser

Managed Package v2.5 enables the new browser sign-in option available from **Fusion v23.10**. With it, users can complete their Salesforce sign-in in their default browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox and others) instead of the in-app sign-in window. Saved passwords, [passkeys](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.register_built_in_authenticator.htm\&type=5) and single sign-on all work as usual.

Browser sign-in is set per Salesforce connection, and the in-app window remains the default, so existing connections continue to work as they do today.

{% hint style="danger" %}

#### Important

Browser sign-in requires:

* Managed Package v2.5 and later
* Fusion v23.10 and later
  {% endhint %}

## <mark style="color:$tint;">Valorx Fusion – V2.4 Summer Release</mark>

Managed Package v2.4 brings an improvement to API Task reliability, ensuring a smoother experience when using the new Connected App "**Valorx Fusion v2**".

### API Task — SOAP API Compatibility with New Connected App

SOAP API Tasks can now be saved successfully when using the new Connected App "**Valorx Fusion v2**". Previously, clicking Save in the API Task configuration returned the error `INVALID_SESSIONID_FOR_APITASK`. This has been resolved in v2.4.

{% hint style="info" %}

#### **Note**

After upgrading, if you continue to encounter this error, log out of Valorx Fusion and log back in to ensure your session is refreshed.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="danger" %}

#### IMPORTANT

#### Launch from CRM - Salesforce Login As User

As a security enhancement, launching Valorx Fusion App from Salesforce (Launch from CRM) while using Salesforce's Login As functionality now requires signing in manually through the New Connection login screen, rather than continuing automatically with the Login As session.

**Things to Keep in Mind**

* On Windows, you'll be prompted to create a new connection instead of continuing with the active Login As session.
* This change reduces reliance on session-based authentication, helping keep your Salesforce connection more secure.
  {% endhint %}

This update is available now. Please reach out to the Valorx support team if you have any questions or require assistance with the upgrade.

## <mark style="color:$tint;">Valorx Fusion – V2.3 Summer Release</mark>

Valorx Fusion Managed Package v2.3 introduces a built-in **secured Connected App for Mac and Google Sheets Add-in clients**, streamlining deployment for administrators. This release also resolves an upgrade issue by **removing the Dynamic Dashboard** from the managed package.

## What's New :sparkles:

### Built-in Secured Connected App for Mac and Google Sheets Add-ins

Version 2.3 introduces "**Valorx Fusion Cloud**", a secured [Connected App](/valorx-fusion/getting-started/getting-started-with-valorx/salesforce-setup.md#configure-valorx-fusion-connected-app) now embedded directly within the managed package. This Connected App provides authentication support for the Mac and Google Sheets Add-in clients, and is automatically available in your org upon installation. No manual setup or separate configuration required.

<figure><img src="https://2472585788-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MFqFFf4143HS0_Wagnz%2Fuploads%2FsEgH9p8bavmzrTIuvVtH%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=6b5f411f-9373-4cc7-8d06-eb91f1a397e5" alt=""><figcaption><p>Valorx Fusion Cloud</p></figcaption></figure>

## Fixes :wrench:

### Dashboard Removal

The Dynamic Dashboard previously included in the managed package has been removed in Version 2.3.

* **Upgrading from v1.9 to v2.3:** No changes to your org. Only the new Connected App is added.
* **Upgrading from v2.2 to v2.3:** The new Connected App is added. The dashboard previously installed in your org will remain and it is no longer part of the managed package but will not be removed automatically. You may delete it manually from your org if it is no longer needed.

## <mark style="color:blue;">New Update</mark> :tada:

### Fusion Dashboard

We're introducing a brand new Fusion Dashboard, your dedicated home screen after installing the Fusion managed package. For the first time, you'll land on a clean, organized starting point that gets you up and running fast. The dashboard is split into two parts:

<figure><img src="https://2472585788-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MFqFFf4143HS0_Wagnz%2Fuploads%2FtER4QoWqadaFSGbUxeQj%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=94cc9bed-5f30-4cb1-bd8c-325a9cc9cfe6" alt=""><figcaption><p>Valorx Fusion Dashboard</p></figcaption></figure>

**Top Section — Get Set Up Quickly**

* **Design Studio**: A clear "Get Fusion" button lets you download and install Fusion for Windows in one click. Already installed? The button won't show up. You'll also find a direct link to the Quick Start Guide to build your first app right away.
* **Fusion Client**: Install the Fusion Client for your preferred platform — Windows, Mac, or Google Sheets using the platform icons with direct installer links.
* **Quick Links**: Handy shortcuts to Getting Started with Valorx Fusion, Build Your First App, and Fusion Client Release Notes.

**Bottom Section — Fusion Apps**

All your Fusion apps are displayed as cards, sorted by most recently modified. Each card shows the app name, when it was last updated, and a "**Manage Access**" button to control who can use the app. Click "**View**" on the card to go directly to that app's page.

### Built-in Connected App

Version 2.2 ships with a **Connected App built directly into the managed package**, removing a longstanding friction point in the deployment process.

Previously, administrators had to manually install and configure a separate Connected App before end users could authenticate. This often requiring dedicated support calls to get it right. That step is now gone. The Connected App **Valorx Fusion v2** is **automatically provisioned at installation**, with zero manual configuration or additional admin intervention required.

This release also introduces new PKCE authentication flow with stronger security controls, all aligned with Salesforce's security standards.

## <mark style="color:$tint;">**Valorx Fusion – V1.7 Fall Release**</mark>

This release brings several new features to the Managed Package, including App Assignment, the ability to launch Valorx from a Lightning Record page, and the ability to launch Valorx from anywhere in Lightning Experience.

## What's New :sparkles:

### App Assignment

Mac and Google Sheets users can now manage App Assignment, which controls access to Fusion Apps from the Valorx Home page in Salesforce Lightning Experience. Windows users have a comparable option in Design Studio, called Access Control.

\[[Learn more](/valorx-fusion/getting-started/getting-started-with-valorx/app-promotion-and-provisioning.md#app-assignment)]

### Launch Valorx App from Lightning Record Page

A new point-and-click option in Lightning App Builder lets admins configure a Launch from CRM button using a Lightning Web Component with access to the Record ID, requiring minimal setup.

\[[Learn more](/valorx-fusion/getting-started/getting-started-with-valorx/app-promotion-and-provisioning.md#launch-valorx-app-from-the-lightning-record-page)]

### Launch Valorx App from Anywhere

Users can now launch Valorx from the Home or App page in Lightning Experience. From the page's Settings panel, drag the "Launch Valorx App from Anywhere" component onto the page and configure the workflow. This creates a button that launches the app from that page.

\[[Learn more](/valorx-fusion/getting-started/getting-started-with-valorx/app-promotion-and-provisioning.md#launch-valorx-app-from-anywhere)]

#### What's Improved

* **Valorx Fusion Dashboard:** Now includes three sections: Total Valorx Fusion Apps, Distribution of User License Type (Design + Runtime / Runtime Express), and Recent Valorx Apps.
* **Launch from CRM:** Now auto-detects the operating system and launches Excel on both Windows and Mac.
* **Lightning Application:** Serves as a single view for app statistics, and as a wrapper for the Dashboard and Access Control features.

For best performance, we recommend using Launch from CRM with Microsoft Edge, Safari, or Google Chrome.
