Release Highlights 🎉
This update introduces the most impactful improvements in this release, designed to enhance how you work and get more value from the product.
Custom Grid Creation
Designers can now empower standard users to manage and share personalized grid views directly from a Global Grid without requiring designer intervention.
Standard users can create their own working copy from the globally shared grid, allowing them to tailor the grid to their needs while preserving the original configuration. These personal copies are saved in the user’s Grid Selection Dropdown and can be customized independently.
Grid Controls:
Two new options are available in Grid Wizard → Permissions → Grid Controls. These settings can only be configured by Designers.
Allow creating custom grids – Enables standard users to create their own Custom Grids from the Global Grid.
Allow sharing custom grids with all users – Allows standard users to share their Custom Grids with others. This option is available only when custom grid creation is enabled.
Permissions are grid-specific and take effect immediately after saving. Existing Inter Personal Copy (IPC) grids are automatically converted to Custom Grids once custom grid creation is enabled.
If custom grid creation access is revoked, a warning is displayed and all associated Custom Grids are permanently deleted upon confirmation.

Custom Grid Creation:
When a standard user makes their first change to a Global Grid, a Custom Grid is automatically created. Users can keep the generated name or rename it before saving.
Each user can create up to 10 Custom Grids per Global Grid.

Grid Picker:
Grids with "Allow creating custom grids" enabled are visually highlighted with a duplicate icon, making them easy to identify at a glance.
Custom Grids are displayed under their parent Global Grid in a new two-panel layout with clear visual distinction between Global and Custom grids.
Hovering over a Custom Grid reveals four quick actions: Share, Rename, Duplicate, and Delete.

Sharing:
Users with sharing permission can share Custom Grids by selecting users through a User Selector. Recipients receive an email notification and can open the shared grid directly.
Recipients can duplicate the shared grid or make changes to it. When changes are made, the system automatically creates a new Custom Grid copy for that user. These copies can be used for personal customization.
Sharing Rules: The first recipient of the shared grid can share it with other users. However, any grids created from duplicates or modified copies cannot be shared further.
Example: If User A shares a grid with User B, User B can duplicate the grid or make changes to create multiple custom copies (Max 10). User B can also share the grid with User C. User C can create their own copies for personal use, but those copies cannot be shared again.

Cascade Deletion:
When a Global Grid is deleted, designers are warned if related Custom Grids exist. Confirmation is required before all associated Custom Grids are permanently removed.

Valorx Grid in Salesforce Flow
You can now launch Valorx Grid directly from Salesforce Flow, bringing powerful spreadsheet-style data management into your automated processes. This capability allows users to access a fully interactive grid within a Flow, making it easy to review, edit, and process large volumes of records in a single step.
Open Valorx Grid from a Flow
Salesforce Flow can pass records directly into Valorx Grid, allowing users to view and work with them in a structured grid interface. Instead of updating records one by one, users can make changes across multiple records simultaneously using familiar spreadsheet-style editing.
For example, a Flow can retrieve Opportunity records and open them in a Valorx Grid, enabling users to quickly update fields such as Stage, Amount, or Discount across multiple records in one place.
Send Updated Records Back to Flow
After users make updates in the grid, the modified records are returned to the Flow. The Flow can then continue the process by updating Salesforce records, creating new records, or triggering additional automation based on the changes made in the grid.
A Powerful Flow Experience with Valorx Grid
By bringing Valorx Grid directly into Flow, organizations can build automated processes that include efficient bulk data editing:
The Flow retrieves records from Salesforce.
Valorx Grid opens from the Flow with the selected records.
Users review and update multiple records in a spreadsheet-style interface.
The updated records are returned to the Flow.
The Flow processes the changes and updates Salesforce accordingly.
With Valorx Grid in Flow, users can combine automation with high-performance grid editing, enabling faster bulk updates, improved productivity, and more flexible business workflows. 🚀

What's New?➕
Search Bar in Fields Configuration
A search bar has been added to the Fields Configuration screen, allowing users to quickly search for fields by name directly within the Fields Configuration screen.
This new feature makes it easier to locate specific fields, especially when working with objects that contain a large number of fields.

Auto-Apply in Grid Wizard (Filters, Rules & Sort)
The Apply button has been removed from the Filters, Rules, and Sort steps in the Grid Wizard. Changes are now automatically applied when users click Next, and the preview updates as users navigate between steps.
All configurations are preserved when moving through the Grid Wizard, and validations continue to run before progressing to the next step.

Admin Controls (Edit & Save) in Surf the Wave
New Admin Controls have been introduced in Surf the Wave to provide Designers with quicker access to editing capabilities for Grids.
A new Edit split button is now always visible when a Designer is working in Surf the Wave. The button displays the Grid Wizard steps in a dropdown menu, allowing quick navigation to specific configuration steps.
The existing Save Grid button feature remains unchanged.

Expanded Multi-Language Support (German, Japanese, and Italian)
Wave products (Grid and Matrix) now support three additional languages: German, Japanese, and Italian, enabling a more localized experience for users across different regions. The application UI will automatically display in the logged-in user’s language based on their Salesforce locale settings.
Note: The Lightning App Builder (where grids and matrices are configured) does not support multi-lingual display.

Configurable Header Label for Record Page Grids
Admins can now configure the header label displayed when a grid is published on a record page. A new Related Grid Header Label setting is available in Grid Wizard → Permissions → Grid Control → Display. This setting allows admins to control how the grid header appears.
The following options are available:
Object Plural Name (default)
Grid Name
No Label
This new feature provides greater flexibility in controlling how grids are labeled and displayed on record pages. Find out more about this here.

Combine Row Actions
A new Combine Row Actions toggle has been added under Row Actions (enabled by default).
When enabled, all row action buttons are consolidated into a single icon in the action column at runtime. Clicking the icon opens a dropdown menu listing all available row actions, allowing users to select and execute an action as usual.
A new icon with a “Row Actions” tooltip is used for the combined button.

Publish Option in Dashboard
New Publish options have been added to the Wave Dashboard card for both Grids and Matrices under More Options button.
The Copy ID action allows users to quickly copy the component ID for use in published locations. This option is available to both Designers and Standard Users.
Selecting Publish opens a popup that displays:
The Grid ID
Published locations (for App Pages)
Setup instructions
For Record Pages where the location cannot be determined, a descriptive message is shown instead. If no published locations are found, the popup is displayed without the locations table.

New Enhancements ✨
Updated Icons and Labels in Contextual Menu
We have updated the record navigation labels and icons in the Wave Embedded to improve clarity and better align with Salesforce terminology.
The "Expand Record Detail" label has been renamed to "Open Record in Salesforce" in both the Selection column and the contextual (right-click) menu.
The Lookup "Open in Salesforce" icon has been updated to a cloud icon for clearer visual identification.

Excel-Style Wrap Text in Grid Headers
The Wrap Text behavior in grid headers has been improved to follow Excel-style word wrapping.
Words are no longer split in the middle when they reach the end of a line. Instead, the entire word moves to the next line for better readability.
In cases where a single word is longer than the column width, the word may still be split to prevent overflow.

Formula Builder Improvements
The Formula Builder has been enhanced to improve usability and expand formula capabilities.
The default return type for new formulas is now String.
Decimal values are now supported for the Currency return type.
Functions are now organized into three categories: String Functions, Math Functions, and Logical Functions.
A new TEXT function allows users to convert number values to text.
The ROUND function now supports specifying the number of decimal places.
Sample formulas are now provided for each data type (Number, Currency, String/Text, and Boolean) to help users get started quickly.

Minor UI Improvements
We’ve introduced several small UI enhancements to improve usability and visual consistency.
The chevron icon (>) for lookup fields in the Field Picker is now always visible.
Chips in the Restore List UI can now wrap to the next line, preventing them from being cut off or hidden.

Improved Pricing Calculation for Opportunity Products
Wave Grid and Wave Matrix now deliver more predictable and consistent pricing behavior when updating Quantity for Opportunity Products.
Previously, when Quantity was updated without modifying Sales Price, Wave preserved the Total Price causing Salesforce to automatically recalculate the Sales Price (Unit Price). This could lead to unexpected and unintended pricing changes.
With this enhancement, Sales Price is now preserved when Quantity is updated, and Total Price is recalculated automatically based on the updated Quantity. This aligns with standard spreadsheet and Salesforce UI expectations where:
Total Price = Quantity x Sales Price
Key Improvements:
Sales Price remains unchanged when only Quantity is edited.
Total Price recalculates automatically based on the new Quantity.
Consistent pricing behavior across Wave Grid and Wave Matrix.
Reduced confusion when managing Opportunity Product pricing.
This change applies to Opportunity Product editing in Wave Grid and Wave Matrix across all publish locations.
Bug Fixes 🐛
In this release, we have addressed several issues to improve user experience and functionality.
Grid Access Automatically Set to All Users When Restoring New Grids Fixed an issue where restoring a grid for the first time in a target org could result in the grid being inaccessible if the backup had the access set to Custom. The system now automatically sets the grid access to All Users when the grid does not already exist in the target org, allowing the restoring user to immediately view and use the grid without additional configuration. If the grid already exists in the target org, the restore process retains the existing access configuration.
Grid Record Count Reset After Clearing Search Fixed an issue where the grid reset the record count to the default (200) after clearing a global search. The grid now retains the last selected record count (for example, All Records) unless the user manually changes it or refreshes the grid.
Grid Restore (Overwrite) Not Restoring Filters and Sorting Fixed an issue where restoring a grid using Overwrite for the second time restored the layout but did not fully restore filters and sorting. The grid is now restored completely, including all filters and sort configurations.
Pending Changes Window Remains Open After Revert All Fixed an issue where the Pending Changes window remained open after selecting Revert All, even though all changes were reverted successfully. The window now closes automatically after the revert action while still displaying the confirmation message.
Smart Import Date Shift in Non-US Time Zones Fixed an issue where Smart Import shifted Excel date values by one day in non-US time zones due to timezone assumptions during processing. Dates are now imported exactly as they appear in Excel, regardless of org locale or timezone.
Incorrect Timezone Used in Rules Evaluation Fixed an issue where rules using the Today condition evaluated dates based on the previous system timezone after a timezone change. Rules now evaluate dates correctly based on the currently selected system local timezone.
