# Browser Extension Settings

## ![](/files/C7iP0KtyEykCQoucf3yj) Overview

The Settings screen in Valorx Wave is organized to give you full control over your account, users, and application behavior. This document covers everything related to Grid Security and Access including how to manage user accounts, control what each role can do, and configure feature permissions.

#### How to Access Settings

Click the **User Profile icon** in the top-right corner of the screen, then select **Settings** from the dropdown menu.

<figure><img src="/files/Zz00CXSYnAcBP9eUZ1MI" alt=""><figcaption><p>Settings</p></figcaption></figure>

### What's Covered in This Guide

This guide walks you through the following sections of the Settings screen:

<table><thead><tr><th width="179" valign="top">Section</th><th valign="top">What It Does</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td valign="top"><a href="#general"><strong>General</strong></a></td><td valign="top">View and manage your account details and Salesforce org info</td></tr><tr><td valign="top"><a href="#environment"><strong>Environment</strong></a></td><td valign="top">See all Salesforce orgs connected to your account</td></tr><tr><td valign="top"><a href="#subscription"><strong>Subscription</strong></a></td><td valign="top">Purchase and manage Wave subscriptions (Admin only)</td></tr><tr><td valign="top"><a href="#licenses"><strong>Licenses</strong></a></td><td valign="top">Assign licenses and manage user roles</td></tr><tr><td valign="top"><a href="#configuration"><strong>Configuration</strong></a></td><td valign="top">Set default grid behavior and feature permissions for Standard Users</td></tr><tr><td valign="top"><a href="#troubleshooting"><strong>Troubleshooting</strong></a></td><td valign="top">Monitor system health, refresh metadata, and view logs</td></tr><tr><td valign="top"><a href="#migration"><strong>Migration</strong></a></td><td valign="top">Move grids between orgs (Admin/Designer only)</td></tr></tbody></table>

### User Roles at a Glance

Valorx Wave has three user roles. Understanding each role is key to managing access effectively.

#### Admin

The first person to install Valorx Wave and connect a Salesforce Org automatically becomes an Admin User with a Free subscription.

Admins can:

* **Purchase or upgrade** subscriptions
* **Invite and manage** team members
* **Assign or revoke** Wave Pro and Matrix Add-On licenses
* **Promote users** to Admin or Designer, or demote them to Standard User
* **Activate or deactivate** users

#### &#x20;Designer&#x20;

Designers have nearly the same capabilities as Admins, with two key exceptions:

* **Cannot purchase or upgrade** licenses
* **Cannot assign or change roles** for other users

Designers have full access for everything else like creating grids, configuring settings, managing migrations.&#x20;

#### &#x20;Standard User&#x20;

Standard Users have limited access and are focused on using Valorx Wave day-to-day, not managing it.

Standard Users can:

* **View** account details and license information
* **Refresh metadata**, clear storage, and set per-page record count
* **View** system logs

Standard Users cannot purchase or assign licenses. Only Admins can do that.

#### Role Permissions Summary

#### What You'll See

For each connected org, the table displays:

* **Name** — The org's display name
* **Org ID** — The unique Salesforce identifier
* **Org Type** — Production or Sandbox

## Subscription

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Admin Only**

Only Admin can access and make changes in the Subscription section. Designers and Standard Users should contact their Admin to make subscription changes.
{% endhint %}

The Subscription section is where you manage your Valorx Wave plans including viewing your current subscriptions, buying more licenses, and managing billing.

#### Subscription

The Subscription section shows a table listing every product your organization has (or had), with the following columns:

<figure><img src="/files/8jsygqxn7Ev4hyz1EaJh" alt=""><figcaption><p>Subscription</p></figcaption></figure>

<table><thead><tr><th width="110" valign="top">Column</th><th valign="top">What It Shows</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td valign="top">Product</td><td valign="top">The subscription product name — Wave Free, Wave Pro, or Wave Pro + Add On</td></tr><tr><td valign="top">Status</td><td valign="top">Whether the subscription is currently ACTIVE or EXPIRED</td></tr><tr><td valign="top">Available</td><td valign="top">The number of licenses purchased that have not yet been assigned to a user</td></tr><tr><td valign="top">Assigned</td><td valign="top">The number of licenses that have been assigned to users in your org</td></tr><tr><td valign="top">Start Date</td><td valign="top">The date your subscription started (shown as a dash for the Free plan)</td></tr><tr><td valign="top">End Date</td><td valign="top">The date your subscription expires (shown as a dash for the Free plan)</td></tr><tr><td valign="top">Action</td><td valign="top">Options to buy more licenses or contact sales, depending on the product (see below)</td></tr></tbody></table>

#### The Three Subscription Products

Your subscription table will show one or more of the following products:

<table><thead><tr><th width="193" valign="top">Product</th><th valign="top">Description</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td valign="top">Wave Free</td><td valign="top">The default plan when you first connect a Salesforce Org. Includes usage limits on imports, exports, and record updates.</td></tr><tr><td valign="top">Wave Pro</td><td valign="top">Paid plan with unlimited usage. Purchased per seat.</td></tr><tr><td valign="top">Wave Pro + Add On</td><td valign="top">Wave Pro plus the Matrix Add-On. Purchased separately on top of a Pro subscription.</td></tr></tbody></table>

#### Billing Details

Below the subscription table, the Billing Details section shows the Billing Email address where invoices and billing notifications are sent. Admins can update this email at any time.

### The Upgrade Button — Free Plan Only

{% hint style="warning" %}
Once your organization has an active Wave Pro subscription, the Upgrade button is no longer shown. Pro subscribers use the Buy Licenses action in the subscription table instead.&#x20;

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Admin & Designer Only**

Migration is available to Admins and Designers only. It is included in Standard and Pro subscriptions as a paid add-on.

To perform a migration, follow these steps:

1. Select the Source org from where the grid/matrix will be migrated.
2. Choose the Target org to which the grid/matrix will be transferred.
3. Initiate the migration process, ensuring all grid/matrix data is moved accordingly.

*Notes: At least one item must be selected to initiate the migration process.*
