Valorx Wave provides a spreadsheet-like interface to handle all Salesforce operations quickly and efficiently. It also lets you see and analyze your records the way you want.
Once you have installed the Valorx Wave browser extension, logged in to it, and connected your Salesforce Org to Valorx Wave, you can open and process your Salesforce Objects' Views and Reports in the Valorx Wave UI containing intelligent sections/screens: Left Panel, Home, Views Screen and Title Bar.
Home: Home screen is where the workflow begins. It has three sections: Views Selection, Feature Spotlight and Feature Video. You can perform the following actions from Home.
+ See the list of all available Views for Salesforce Objects
+ Open Views to process them
+ Create a new View
+ Quick access Smart Import, Editable Salesforce Reports, and Invite team members
+ Watch a concise video offering insights into the essential features in Wave
Left Panel: The Left Panel is available across Valorx Wave. It showcases menus such as Home, Views, Reports, Import, Invite and Feedback. It enables you to:
+ Access the Views screen and see every Salesforce object together with its Views
+ View the list of all available Salesforce Reports and map them to Valorx Wave
+ Import (insert, update, upsert) records in Salesforce from Excel using Smart Import
+ Add/Invite other users to Valorx Wave
+ Provide your Feedback regarding your experience with Wave
Title Bar: The Title Bar is available across Valorx Wave. You can assess User Profile and Settings from it.
Views Screen: When you click on a View or Mapped Report to open, it will open as a screen called the Views screen, where you can process the records as required.
Views is the screen where you see and manage all your Salesforce Standard Views, Valorx Wave Custom Views, and Mapped Salesforce Reports. It has two sections: Wave Ribbon and Wave Spreadsheet Area. It enables you to:
+ Edit records and save the changes in Salesforce
+ Perform mass edits using Mass Modifier
+ Use Excel-like features such as: Search, Filter, Condition, Sort, Layout, Group
+ Drill down to all information for each record using the Wave Row-Expand feature
+ Use the Add Related List feature
Being a Valorx Wave user, it is important for you to understand the difference between a Standard View and a Custom View.
When you open a Salesforce Object's View and view it in Valorx Wave the way it is, it is a Standard View.
When you perform any of the following changes to a Standard View such as: Adding/Removing a field, Sorting or Filtering records, a Custom View is created automatically. If you create a new View as per your requirements, that also becomes a Custom View.
Valorx Wave indicates a Standard View and a Custom View with different icons.
If you change the records (data) in a Standard View or a Custom View, the Grid View screen will prompt a message to confirm whether you want to save those changes in Salesforce.
A Custom View can be seen in Valorx Wave only, it will not affect any of your Salesforce Views.
Please note you can change the records (data) in Salesforce through Standard View and Custom View. But the visibility-related changes can be saved as a Custom View only.
When you open a Salesforce report in Valorx Wave, it becomes a Mapped Report View.
It is called Mapped Report View because, when you open a Salesforce report in Valorx Wave, you map the Salesforce report with Valorx Wave in a few clicks.
The Mapped Report View opens in the Views Screen. You can process it based on your requirements. The method of processing reports is the same as processing the Views.
The changes related to the records (data) can be saved in Salesforce, and the changes related to visibility will be available in Valorx Wave only.
