📢 Announcing the October Release

We're excited to announce the latest updates to our application, packed with a blend of exciting new feature, enhancements, and bug fixes! This release brings powerful improvements designed to elevate your user experience and streamline your workflows. Below, you'll find a detailed summary of the enhancements and resolved issues in this version.

What's New?

Mass Modifier

We've added a new Mass Modifier button in Toolbox, enabling users to bulk edit specific fields in single object grids.

Key Details:

  • The Mass Modifier is applicable only to single object grids in Valorx FE Grids.

  • To use this feature, users select a single field and click the Mass Modifier button from Grid Actions screen.

  • Supported Data Types: String, Picklist, Int, Currency, Double, Text Area, URL, Phone.

Fields with unsupported data types will be treated as read-only and will not be included in the field list for bulk editing.

Edit Grids Menu

A new hamburger menu icon is now displayed in the top-right corner of the Grid Actions screen, providing users with easy access to their grids. This feature enables editing of all grids within the current workbook.

Only plotted grids owned by the logged-in user are displayed. The pop-up menu includes all grids (Custom and Global) in the workbook, organized by the most recent modified time, with the latest at the top.

Each grid entry displays key information:

  • Icons for Custom and Global grids

  • Record Count (e.g., RC: 10,000)

  • Last Modified Timestamp (e.g., “Last run 10m ago”)

  • Edit Icon: A quick-access Edit button that redirects the user to the Object Grid Configuration for the selected grid.

This intuitive menu enhances user efficiency by consolidating essential grid information and editing functionality in one accessible location.

Enhanced UI / UX Design

Improved UI for Grid Customization Options and Default Header Color

We’ve restructured the Enhance Grid custom options and introduced default color headers for grid headers to improve visual distinction. The user interface is now organized into intuitive groups, with added tooltips for each option.

Details of Changes Each customization option is now grouped under relevant categories and displays a tooltip for clarity.

Categories and Options:

  • Format

    • Column Header: Fill color for column headers.

    • Colorbar: Fill color for picklist items.

    • Gridlines: Toggle to show or hide gridlines.

    • Borders: Defines the border style for the grid.

  • Appearance

    • Smartfit: Automatically adjusts column width for optimal viewing.

    • Wrap Text: Enables text wrapping within cells.

  • Data

    • Auto Filter: Adds a filter on the grid header for quick data filtering.

These enhancements aim to make grid customization more intuitive and visually organized, providing a streamlined experience for users.

Standardized UI for Fusion App

We’ve introduced a standardized design across the entire Fusion App, ensuring consistency in color schemes, themes, and overall appearance.

These changes are designed to improve the overall user interface and make navigation more intuitive.

Hide/Unhide ID & Transaction Status on Spreadsheet and Fields Section

This enhancement optimizes the visibility and placement of the ID and Transaction Status fields within the Fusion Grid, improving user experience by allowing these fields to be hidden by default and shown only as needed.

Details:

  • Default Setting: Both ID and Transaction Status fields are now hidden by default in the Spreadsheet and Fields sections, reducing unnecessary space usage and focusing attention on editable fields.

  • Eye Icon for Visibility Control:

    • A new Eye icon appears next to the ID and Transaction Status fields in the Fields section.

    • Closed Eye icon (default) indicates the fields are hidden.

    • Clicking on the Closed Eye icon toggles it to an Open Eye icon, making the ID and Transaction Status fields visible on the Spreadsheet.

Note: Users need to run the grid for changes to apply after toggling the Eye icon to hide or unhide the fields.

This enhancement enables a cleaner, more efficient workspace while allowing users to reveal these fields as needed with a simple click.

Log Out Dialogue Box

To prevent accidental logouts, we’ve introduced a confirmation step when users attempt to log out via the Fusion Sidebar.

Details:

When a user clicks the connection icon in the hamburger menu, a confirmation dialogue box will appear instead of logging out immediately.

The pop-up will prompt the user with the message: "Are you sure you want to log out?" with the following options:

  • OK: Clicking the OK button logs the user out of the Fusion Sidebar. A 'Logging Out' loader will appear while the user is logged out, and the user will be redirected to the home screen.

  • Cancel: Clicking Cancel closes the pop-up, and the user remains on the hamburger menu.

This new confirmation flow enhances user control, ensuring no unintended logouts occur.

🐞Bug Fixes

We’ve addressed few issues to enhance your experience. Below are the key fixes included in this update:

  • Improved UI Handling for Long Object Names Resolved an issue where the UI did not properly display long object names. The interface now adjusts correctly to accommodate longer names without causing layout issues.

  • Grid and Header Misplacement on Grid Deletion Fixed an issue causing grids and headers to misalign after deleting a grid on a sheet with multiple grids. Now, grid positions and headers stay properly aligned, keeping the layout consistent.

  • Invalid Location Message Display Fixed an issue where the grid pop-up message appeared before the "Selected location is invalid" message. Now, the "Selected location is invalid" message will display first when applicable.

  • Date Filter Issue on Excel Reference, Name Range, and In Operator Resolved an issue where the Date Filter was not working when using Excel reference, Name Range, and the In Operator. Users were not receiving results, and the In Operator triggered an error. This issue has now been fixed, and the Date Filter functions as expected with these inputs.
