📢 Announcing the September Release

We're excited to introduce the latest updates and enhancements to Fusion Express! This release brings a fresh new UI, and improved functionality to enhance your experience. Read on to learn more about the new features and improvements we've made.

➕ What's New?

New UI for Fusion Express

We’ve completely redesigned the Fusion Express interface to align with the overall Fusion platform’s look and feel. This new UI enhances usability and offers a more consistent user experience across the application.

Visual Walkthrough: Below are images showcasing the redesigned UI for each updated feature. Take a look to see how the new interface enhances your experience:

✨ Enhanced UI / UX Design

Date Literals for Filtering

The date filter now supports Date Literals, providing an easier way to filter data without manually entering date ranges.

New Feature:

  • Select from pre-defined Date Literals such as Today, This Week, Last Month, Next 90 Days, and more.

  • Choose between Date Literals or the standard Calendar option. Selecting one will deactivate the other.

This simplifies date filtering and offers greater flexibility with commonly used date ranges. Users can now use Date Literals to quickly filter data without needing to specify exact dates.

Improved Query Execution Status and Control for Grid Operations

This release introduces a new enhancement that provides users with better visibility and control during grid operations, for Run and Refresh. Now, when users interact with large datasets, they will be able to view the progress status, see the total number of records being processed, and have the option to cancel long-running queries.

  • Progress Status: After users click the Run or Refresh button, a detailed progress status will appear. The status will display the following stages:

    • Mapping Fields

    • Fetching Data

    • Displaying Grid

  • Record Count Display: When plotting a grid, a confirmation pop-up will display the total number of records being fetched, along with the number of fields and filters applied, such as “Fetching 100,000 Records with 5 Fields and 3 Filters for [Grid Name].” This provides users with a comprehensive view of the data being processed before proceeding. Note that this confirmation pop-up only appears during the initial grid creation and not during refresh operations, as the grid is already plotted.

  • Cancel Option: If the query execution exceeds a duration of 3 seconds, a Cancel button will appear in the loader interface. Clicking Cancel will stop the query execution and return the user to the ‘Run’ screen. The system will retain all configurations, such as the selected object, fields, and filter options.

  • Cancellation Restrictions: Once the system reaches the ‘Displaying Grid’ status, the cancel option will no longer be available, as the grid is already being rendered.

Below are two example videos showcasing the new enhancement:

  1. Run with Progress Status and Cancel Option: This video demonstrates the step-by-step process when a user clicks Run. It shows how the system displays the progress status, the number of records being fetched, and offers the option to cancel the operation if the query execution takes longer than 3 seconds.

  1. Refreshing Multiple Grids with Real-Time Status Updates: This video highlights the real-time status updates during the Refresh operation, showing how the progress bar, and cancel option provide better control for users managing multiple grids.

With this enhancement, users are kept informed about ongoing operations and are given the flexibility to cancel long-running queries, enhancing overall efficiency and control during grid creation and refresh operations.
